Engagement with investee companies
We see investor engagement as a dynamic process for driving change and enhancing sustainability practices at investee companies.
Voting plays a critical role in being an active shareholder. We regularly update our Corporate Governance & Voting Policy, ensuring we stay ahead of critical issues. For example, in 2024 we voted by stricter standards on climate lobbying transparency and pay fairness.
Key areas for engagement include climate change, biodiversity protection, corporate governance, and a range of social issues.
Engagement with our supply chain
Practicing sustainable procurement is critical. Mainly, we purchase services like market data, IT, consulting, and human resources—as well as operational products like office supplies.
Alongside potential suppliers’ expertise and quality of service, we also review their commitment to sustainability, and we include a sustainability clause in every supplier contract.
To reinforce our commitment to reducing emissions, AXA IM’s supply chain sustainability programme engages with our highest emitting suppliers to improve their emissions data and support them in developing their own emissions reduction strategies.
We uphold international human rights principles, guided by policies like the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Global Compact - and our suppliers commit to ensuring that they and their own supply chains are not involved in child or forced labour.
