How did you come to work at AXA IM?

I graduated from the University of Leeds where I completed a degree in sociology. My first HR role was HR Assistant at Harvey Nichols. After a couple of years, I moved to ITN doing a similar kind of role. Over the next six years, I worked at Accenture as an HR Representative, supporting the Communication and High Technology teams and as an HR Manager at BDO, an accountancy firm.

I then joined AXA IM in 2010. I chose AXA IM because, firstly, I prefer corporate environments and, secondly, because I was interested in financial services. Working at AXA IM represented a huge opportunity for me to grow my career.

What do you currently do?

As a Senior HR Business Partner, I provide frontline HR support to specific investment functions: Framlington, Rosenberg and Multi-Asset Client Solutions. I am involved in key HR activities such as recruitment, talent management, compensation reviews, employee relations and change management projects.

What do you like about your job?

I enjoy the day to day challenges that arise from attracting, developing and retaining a diverse, talented workforce. There's a lot of variety in my work and I am constantly learning.  And I like being the first point of contact for the teams I support as it allows me to build strong, productive relationships with the managers and employees. Lastly, as AXA IM is backed by the AXA Group, there are lots of opportunities for people to develop their careers.
