Wolfgang Munchau, 48, is associate editor and European economic columnist of the Financial Times.

  • He is also an associate editor of the Financial Times, where he writes a weekly column about European economics.

  • He was one of the founders of Financial Times Deutschland, the Germany financial daily, and the paper's editor-in-chief between 2001 and 2003.

  • Prior to this, he held several posts at a foreign correspondent for the Financial Times and the Times of London.
