Active Share explained

Active Share has become a more frequently used metric for analysing active equity portfolios.  While we do not place much value in the Active Share statistic in isolation as it gives no information about a manager's ability to translate active risk into return outcomes,  we do believe it has value as a complement to other important investment concepts.
