The AXA name ensures access to almost all hedge funds including many managers who would normally no longer accept capital from other investors. As our portfolios are concentrated, the allocations to closed managers are meaningful within the portfolios.
Experience & Ability
AXA employs people with significant and appropriate skills and experience.
Our strategy due diligence analysts will have a capital markets background, typically in trading, portfolio management, sell-side research or other areas. This enables them to fully understand the strategies and to “challenge” the hedge fund managers on issues which they are reviewing.
Our operational due diligence analysts will typically be professionally qualified accountants with experience of fund structures, auditing, insolvency, litigation and commercial negotiation.
Accountability
AXA IM as an institution with fiduciary responsibilities to its clients will ensure that the investments in hedge funds are made within a secure and transparent environment. i.e. two tier risk management, state of the art systems, a dedicated & specialised legal/compliance team as well as a dedicated team of product specialists.
