Virtuous circle

The different components of our Responsible Investment (RI) strategy, underpinned by our commitment to being a good corporate citizen, form a virtuous circle.

By developing innovative and high-quality RI products, we strengthen our understanding of Responsible Investment issues and investment strategies.

Thus we can adapt what we learn from running RI products and use these insights and skills in our core investment processes.  Good quality RI products therefore contribute to the effectiveness of our mainstreaming strategy.

In parallel, our strategy of mainstreaming Responsible Investment has two components:

- Integration of extra-financial analyses into investment decision-making processes.

- Engaging with companies through a philosophy of active ownership.

The consequence of mainstreaming is that RI thinking becomes a part of our core processes, which in turn feeds back into our ability to deliver high-quality, innovative RI products.

Both the mainstreaming and products are supported by AXA IM's membership in external collaborative initiatives and our in-house initiatives. 

These activities allow us to play a trendsetting role within the asset management industry, as well as to share best practice and learn from our peers through on-going dialogue and collaboration.
